As many of you know, we’ve created a way for you to chat with your friends via Gmail, even when they are offline. As a Gmail user, you can send SMS to your friends for free, and when your friends reply, they will be charged the same as a regular SMS.
SMS from Gmail
, already available in several Sub-Saharan Africa countries (Angola, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia) has now been launched in Cameroon (on Orange and MTN) and Côte d’Ivoire (on Orange).
(If you do not see the SMS interface in your Gmail, go to
Settings->Labs
and enable both labs that contain the word “SMS”)

Paramètres->Labos
